Time Mastery with Andrea Lee

November 3rd, 2008 by Bill Baren

According to the dictionary a master is “a person with the ability or power to use, control, or dispose of something.” Time “mastery” may seem daunting and even unattainable. Yet you are the master of time already - you just don’t know how to apply your super powers quite yet. Our next speaker Andrea Lee will show you how to release those powers and become a master of your time.

Andrea is an award-winning author, coach, consultant and online business manager to entrepreneurs on five continents. She is an author and thought-leader in the field of personal and business coaching and has helped build and manage one the most innovative coach training organizations in the world. Andrea helps businesses attain financial success while creating lives rich with meaning and laughter.

Do women have a harder time managing time than men? Or rather, do women just realize their weaknesses more then us men and want to improve on them? As our first female speaker in our series, this is a concept I am very eager to hear Andrea talk about. I’d also like to hear what you think. Do men and women manage their time differently?

I am also excited for her to share her concept of the “lint trap.” After this discussion I know that you will be cleaning your lint trap on a regular basis. Want to know what I’m talking about? Yeah, me too.

    Hi Bill,

I missed most of this session. Did you record it? Is it possible to hear the recording? I would so appreciate it.

    Thanks,

    Deborah Smith

Andrea’s joyful and connected presence (when I know she’s a very busy person) is an inspiration. It reminds me that I can put a lot of effort into my work, and still enjoy every minute of it.

Today, I’m going to play with which way of doing things make me feel the best…..
    1. The Quickest
    2. The Most Outside Pressure
    or 3. The Most Energy

    It’s my choice.

    Bill,

I am getting a lot from your Summit. Thank you so much for putting this together! I take notes during each call, then after the call is finished, I highlight the key points, mark the items I’m going to put into practice and add these to a running list.
It was great validation to hear Andrea share the 3 equally valid ways to get going and decide what to do first. I am pretty much like her and prefer to capitalize on whatever energy is arising; this makes work so much easier and more enjoyable than having to swim upstream energetically in order to stick to a schedule I made the night before.

You gave a quote from B. Fuller today and I’m not sure I got it straight. Would you please elaborate a bit on what you /he meant.
    Thanks,
    kamila

Another great call. I am now more consciously aware of the connection between my energy for a task and the inner desire to really do or not do something. In the past, when I’ve been extremely unhappy, like at my last job, I would have vertigo/panic attacks. That was my signal to myself to make a change. But I ignored it for too long and should have made a change years before I got to that point. With this new awareness, I hope to become aware sooner before a situation is that unpleasant.

And thank you, Bill, for all your energy and effort into putting this seminar together.
